Food Bank

4th Annual Kennedy Food Drive is a wrap!  The school brought in 531 items for the food pantry.  That was 464 pounds of food.

The winning class was 5Sanchez.  They collected 125 items.  They were the winners of a huge bucket of cheese balls.  The food was donated to St. Stephen’s Food Bank and it will be distributed to organizations and people in our community in need.

Go The Distance Day

Fourth graders across the district attended Loras for Go the Distance Day learning about fitness and staying healthy. They rotated through exercise stations led by Loras students. The event was sponsored by Hy-Vee.  Fourth graders did a 5 week fit challenge leading up to the event and had the most participation across the district.  They won a smoothie and fruit pizza party at Kennedy to be held later in May.  Enjoy the photo album of activities.
