Kennedy kids are using technology in the classroom in many different ways!  Some classrooms are documenting their work in digital portfolios using Seesaw.  Some are completing assignments using an iPad or laptop, and some are using augmented reality as a launch to a writing project.  Check out some pics!

Congrats to Mrs. Ludovissy who submitted a Foundation for Dubuque Schools grant for books to add to our Book Room.  She was awarded a Judi Chandlee Tribute to Teachers Award in the amount of $400.  

4^th Annual Kennedy Food Drive is a wrap!  The school brought in 531 items for the food pantry.  That was 464 pounds of food.

The winning class was 5Sanchez.  They collected 125 items.  They were the winners of a huge bucket of cheese balls.  The food was donated to St. Stephen’s Food Bank and it will be distributed to organizations and people in our community in need.

It was a gorgeous sunny day for the Family Fun Run at Kennedy that followed the 5K.  Lots of kids and families were full of color!  Check out the photo album!

On May 12th Kennedy held our 2nd annual Walkathon Fundraiser.  It was a gorgeous sunny day for all students to walk! Check out all the fun at this photo album!

This year ten 5th grade team competed for the Battle of the Books championship.  Teams must read the chosen books and answer questions as a team.  Congrats to the winners this year from Mrs. Sanchez’s room, The Reading Nutcrackers.  They will go on to represent Kennedy in the District Battle of the Books held May 12th.  Check out all the amazing teams in this photo album.
